After a few days blissful days in the countryside we decided to make the 45 minute bus journey from the cabin in Enebakk to Oslo. We’d been told about the Oslo Pass by our host Thove. The following morning, making the most of the warm weather, we decided to explore the forest surrounding our cabin. We took off up the old ski run and followed the winding path through thick woodland.
Having had a restful nights sleep in our cosy cabin in the woods, we decided to take up our brilliant host Thove’s offer of hiring bicycles for the day. She gave us a real good deal and it only cost £35 each for the 1st day and £5 more for any other days we wanted to make use of the bikes. Continue reading
You may be asking yourself, what is a blog called The Manchester Tart doing writing about Norway? It has nothing to do with Manchester! Well you’d be right, it doesn’t. But it is well within easy reach of it. Not only was I surprised but albeit delighted to discover that with a quick and cheap Ryanair flight (£25.99) from Manchester Airport I could be in Norway in 1 hour and 20mins. Surely that sort of information deserves sharing especially when you find out what’s waiting for you on the other end – ladies and gentlemen, come with me to Norway.
