Manchester Christmas Markets 2015

manchester christmas markets

One of the best things about spending the run up to Christmas in Manchester is being able to visit the famous Christmas markets, which are dotted all about the city centre. Which is exactly what a few of us did the other evening when we popped along to Albert Square by the town hall.

If you’ve never visited the Christmas markets before you have until the 21st December to do so. You’ll find bars, food traders and stalls selling all kinds of gifts and goodies! The markets are open everyday from 10am till 8pm (6pm on Sundays)

First we eyed up the garlic and chestnuts.

And then the sweets, so many pretty treats!

Then we sampled a few cheeses, try the pesto one, it’s delicious!

We then grabbed a seat at The Old Windmill and sunk a couple of beers. These cost £5 each but you get £1 back as it’s a deposit for your glass.

And then wandered a little more and marveled at all the wonderful gifts!

This guy’s quite famous around these parts…..

We then finished the evening with a chocolate and banana pancake, utterly divine!

Manchester always manages to steal my heart at Christmas, you beautiful old thing! We left feeling very festive and very happy. Get your skates on and go for a visit before it shuts!
